Hello, everyone!

This is Qian, in my first year as a director.

Today I'd like to talk about the corporate website — something every web director has handled at least once.

Put simply, a corporate website is your "company homepage," your "company profile site" — it's no exaggeration to call it "the face of your company." An important presence indeed!

We often receive requests to build or renew corporate websites, so this time I've pulled together the contents you'll want to have.

7 Essential Contents

  1. Company Overview

One content you absolutely must include on a corporate website is the company overview.

・Company name ・Representative's name ・Address ・Capital ・Date of establishment ・Major clients ・Services ・Track record ・Banks used

Filling in information like the above demonstrates that your company exists and boosts corporate credibility. It's important to present it clearly, organized in a table.

  1. Case Studies / Track Record

Case studies and a track record are content you should build out well to acquire customers! Beyond conveying the appeal of your main services/products, they let you inform users even without in-person sales.

  1. Recruitment Information

Even if you're not hiring, simply posting things that convey your company's atmosphere or messages from senior staff helps communicate your company image.

  1. News / Announcements

Content where your latest information is published.

These days, many sites embed social content from Facebook, Twitter, note, and the like instead of a news feature.

Having this feature further raises the trust of users who view your corporate site.

  1. FAQ (Frequently Asked Questions)

Content that compiles customers' questions and the answers to them as an FAQ.

  1. Contact Form

Separate from the phone number published in your company overview, you do need to include a contact form. Having email means people can reach out with peace of mind at any time.

  1. Own Articles / Blog

This is content that lets you share your company's appeal in real time.

That said, just like item 4 (News / Announcements), many sites now embed social content from Facebook, Twitter, note, and so on all together.

The Need for a Full Renewal

Because the corporate website is the face of your company, keeping it updated to the latest version lets people understand what your company is really like. Your brand image in people's eyes improves, and you become able to acquire many more customers.

Next time I'd like to talk about the timing of a renewal!
